Two Open Positions for Assistant Professor of Film and Video Production
The Department of Visual and Media Arts at Emerson College invites applications for two full-time faculty positions in film and video production. Both appointments are tenure-track Assistant Professor positions and commence in the academic year beginning August 24, 2017.

Qualifications:
- terminal degree in film/video or a closely related field
- one year of college level teaching (full or part time) and the ability to teach in a diverse college community
- filmmakers whose point of view informs their work, exploring voices, experiences, and contributions of historically underrepresented groups in the U.S. or globally are preferred
- national and/or international filmmaking and exhibition record
- expertise in one or more production disciplines
- strength in both celluloid and digital processes
- facility in mentoring students in a variety of media modalities (e.g. fiction narrative, documentary, experimental film/video) are desirable.
Responsibilities:
- teaching core courses in the film and video production curriculum from the foundational to advanced levels
- tenure expectations require that the candidate maintain a vigorous and successful creative practice.
