Emory University in Atlanta Georgia is searching for a full-time Visual Resources Librarian to provide a wide range of professional services in the Art History Department, in support of its research, teaching, and public service missions.

Position Details:
- manages a collection of 140,000 digital images used for teaching, research, and publication by the Art History Department
- creates new images using flatbed scanners, slide scanners, digital cameras, and Adobe Photoshop software

- supports Art History Department faculty with projects related to digital humanities research such as digital mapping, 3D imaging, virtual reality, and urban humanities
- partners with IT specialists, reference librarians, and Emory Center for Digital Scholarship staff to enhance research and teaching in the Art History Department
- manages, creates content, and updates the Art History Department website
- supervises one full-time Visual Resources Library Assistant and four graduate student assistants.
Qualifications:
- MA in Art History with additional course work in information management, or MLS with graduate-level course work in art history
- Five years of experience in a visual resources collection at associate level or higher
- Experience in archival or collection digitization, photographic production, or related activities
- High level of computer-imaging literacy and familiarity with digital technologies such as digital mapping
- Communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with faculty, students, and staff, especially the Assistant Visual Resources Librarian
- Ability to liaise with Emory Center for Digital Scholarship
